Q&A with Justin Sidell (Real Estate Professional)


Justin helps clients buy, sell, invest and manage Long Beach Real Estate. He leverages a team of true professionals in their respective areas of expertise in order to maximize his client's biggest and most important investment, their home.


"Real Estate is so meaningful to me because I am able to help assist people with their biggest and most expensive purchase that they will probably ever make. Handing over keys to a first time buyer who has worked so hard to get to where they are is one of the best parts of my job.


The most exciting part of my job with the day to day work is the people. I get to meet and work with so many different types of people from all walks of life, different personalities, and different backgrounds. No day is ever the same!


In the next 15 years I truly believe there will be a lot of changes in our industry. With technology things are constantly changing and if we do not keep up we will get left behind. However I think that the human connection is something that when people are buying or selling they are going to still want and need. Communication is the biggest part of why I have been successful in this industry and no Robot or tech can change the personal connection.


I have been in this industry for about 10 years now. I started out investing in out-of-state rental properties in 2010 and was hooked after that. I used to be the Sales Manager at the Belmont Athletic Club for years. I got my license and was still working at the club and it was the best combination. Real Estate is a people's game. Whoever has the most contacts and personal connections with people will win.


I would say like any other sales job it is not about what you are selling. It is about the connection you have with other human beings. If you talk to people and they get to know what you do, like you, and trust you, your business will grow. It is really that simple.


There are a number of organizations in Long Beach for Real Estate professionals to network. Too many to name. I think the biggest help for me is having great agent relationships with other professionals in this business. We always have 2 sides to every transaction and let's face it, people like to do business with other people they like. We have a group text with about 6 other agents in the business that all help each other out and give advice. It is great to know that other agents have our back. ( you know who you are)


Long Beach is the best place in my opinion to sell Real Estate. I came to Long Beach for college in 2002 and have not looked back. It is great to be the tour guide of the City for people and show all the amazing neighborhoods and small businesses and communities that Long Beach has to offer."
