Where else can you watch your jump shot sink through the net while watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean? The new courts on Ocean Blvd near Junipero are a favorite both for Long Beach basketball enthusiasts and those visiting the beach. With one full court and one half court, conveniently located near the beach parking off Junipero (near Bluff Park), basketball players can experience a playing atmosphere like no other.
Recreational basketball culture in Long Beach thrives. It’s the only “team” sport where one person can head to any court, pretty much any given day or time, and get into a pickup game. Evenings, when people are off work, and weekend mornings are two high traffic times for every court around town. Here’s a list!
