East Long Beach’s Best Family Halloween Carnival

This Sunday, Bethany’s Light the Night, will bring family fun to Clark Avenue, all proceeds will go to Long Beach Rescue Mission

Family Fun and helping others. It doesn’t get much better than that! Bethany’s Light the Night is not only the most fun, family-friendly Halloween carnival in East Long Beach, the cause is even better.

If you don’t know about Long Beach Rescue Mission, they are one of the biggest and best non-profits focused on helping those experiencing homelessness in Long Beach, and they make a tangible difference in the lives of the hurting and broken every day.

All proceeds from this Sunday’s carnival will be donated toward helping the Long Beach Rescue Mission’s holiday outreach efforts. Admission to the carnival is “$2 or 2 cans” for everyone over the age of 3. As in $2 to the Long Beach Rescue Mission or 2 canned food items for them to serve at the shelter.

Here’s what you get for the $2 donation:

  • Trunk or Treat (costumes are encouraged for ages 2-12, not adults)

  • Ferris Wheel

  • Preschool Racers Ride

  • Rockwall

  • Train Ride

  • Inflatable Bouncy House

  • Inflatable Obstacle Course

  • Giant Slide

  • Petting Zoo

  • Carnival Booths

  • Food Trucks (Cocina Fresca, Slammin Sliders, Mambo Juice & Belly Bombz) *10% of food truck proceeds go to Long Beach Rescue Mission

There’s no better place to take the family to celebrate Halloween in a safe, community, and carnival atmosphere.

Last year about $1200 and 2000 lbs of food were raised for the shelter, which is one of Bethany Church’s favorite ministries. Long Beach Rescue Mission has been around since 1972, and provides shelter and programs for men and women experiencing homelessness with over 200 emergency beds filled on a nightly basis.

The Shelter has three main programs to help people experiencing homeless on every part of their journey to recovery: Emergency shelter, case management, and their New Life Program, along with regular daily meals for the hungry.

During the holidays, they do especially big outreach and meals feeding well over a thousand people on both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Bethany’s Light the Night Carnival specifically helps raise funds and supplies for those events.

So, bring the family this Sunday for lots and lots of fun that will bring equally wide smiles to both your children, as well as those in need within our community.

“We invite anyone and everyone to come join in the fun. We want East Long Beach to see how much we truly love our community, love our city, and really hope for God’s best in everyone,” said Bethany Lead Pastor Jeff Levine. Jeff spent many years as a Chaplain for Long Beach Rescue Mission before taking the lead position at Bethany. Their mission is near and dear to his heart. Jeff and the rest of Bethany hope you will join them for this event that supports the Long Beach Rescue Mission, throughout the holiday season!
