80’s Night with Knyght Ryder

Friday, January 18th – 9 pm

Gaslamp Long Beach

Every Friday night at Gaslamp Long Beach, join in on the fun as the world’s greatest 80’s tribute band, Knyght Ryder, rips up the stage playing all the classics.

Doors open at 5 pm and there’s no cover charge before 9 pm. After 9 pm it’s $10 at the door. Enjoy food and drinks while surrounded by great people who love music. Visit Gaslamptix.com for more information including dinner and bottle service reservations.

2019 Long Beach Polar Splash

Saturday, January 19th - 10 am

1 Granada Avenue

Come and symbolically wash off last year, and welcome in the New Year at the Long Beach Polar Splash and Beach Cleanup. You don’t have to be part of a group in order to participate and it’s free to enter.

You must participate in the 30-minute beach cleanup in order to participate in the polar plunge. The water temperature is approximately 55-59 degrees this time of year so come prepared with a towel.

Justin Rudd's nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT) will donate $5/per participant to your charity/organization/school (up to $200 per group) if 15 or more people in your group (including family/friends of your group) mee all requirements at justinrudd.com/polarsplash.

LBSU Men’s Basketball vs. CSU Fullerton: City of Long Beach Night

Saturday, January 19th – 7 pm

Walter Pyramid

Head to the Walter Pyramid for one of the biggest men’s basketball games of the year! Long Beach State hosts Big West conference rival Cal State Fullerton on City of Long Beach Night.

Tickets start at $5.62 for anyone that can show proof of Long Beach residency. All fans in attendance will receive a free LBC jersey shirt at the entrance. Halftime entertainment will include a basketball game between the LB Fire Department and LB Police Department. GO BEACH!

Ballast Point Brewery Ride

Sunday, January 20th – 8:45 am

Ballast Point at Alamitos Bay

Start your Sunday off right with a bike-ride finishing at Ballast Point for some good eats and beer tasting.

Starting at 8:45 am in the Ballast Point parking lot, get on a bike and take a ride to the Seal Beach Pavilions off of PCH and Balboa Dr. Meet up with the Orange County Wheelmen, just one mile away, for the OCW Sunday Ride at 9 am. From there, there’ll be three rides to choose from (short, medium, and long) all ending up at Ballast Point for refreshing beers on tap and an incredible view.

Exercise and beers sounds like the perfect Sunday!
