Farmers Market at Marine Stadium

Wednesday, August 1 | 3pm-8pm

Although farmers markets occur every day in Long Beach, this farmers market will be at Marine Stadium this Wednesday, Aug. 1. A variety of farm-fresh, California-grown fruits and vegetables, and a wide variety of gourmet specialty foods will be there. Arts, crafts and jewelry from local area vendors can also be found and purchased here. Bring the whole family for this free event and stroll through the vendors while you listen to some live music. Concert in the Park: Long Beach Municipal Band

Thursday, August 2 and Friday, August 3 | 6:30pm

These are the last two times that the Long Beach Municipal Band will be performing this summer, so bring your family and friends for music under the stars. This Thursday, the Long Beach Municipal Band will be performing at Marine Stadium and on Friday, at El Dorado Park West. As usual, the concert is free and begins at 6:30 p.m., but be sure to get there early for a good spot. Bring chairs, blankets, and food for a great experience. 2018 ARP Long Beach Sprint Nationals

Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5 | 8am

This weekend, the annual ARP Long Beach Sprint National Championships boat racing will be featuring 10 classes of the fastest Flatbottom, V-Bottom and Jet Boats from around the nation competing for bragging rights, titles, and their share of prize money. This event will take place at Marine Stadium and welcomes all ages. Vendors featuring everything from souvenirs to food and beverages will be there, as well as a beer garden. Don’t miss the classic V-drive display where meticulously restored V-drives will be parked for all to enjoy. The gates open at 8 a.m. and the racing will start at 9 a.m. Tickets are $20 per adult, $10 per child, and free for children under 5. For more information: http://scscracing.com/0/home-page

Bicycle Drive-In

Saturday, August 4 | 6pm

This Saturday, grab your family and friends and ride your bikes down to Historic Old Pine Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets for the Bicycle Drive-In. This event is known for combining live music, movies, and bikes. A free bike valet will have your ride covered while you enjoy the movie “Harold and Maude.” This event is free and welcomes all ages, but don't forget to bring some money for food and drinks to enjoy before and during the movie.
