Concert in the Park: Long Beach Municipal Band

Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26 | Los Cerritos Park and Marine Stadium

This Wednesday, the Long Beach Municipal Band will be performing at Los Cerritos Park and on Thursday, at Marine Stadium. The concert is free and begins at 6:30 p.m., but be sure to get there early for a good spot. Don’t forget to bring chairs, blankets, and food for a great experience. As always, this event is suitable for all ages, so come out with your family and friends for music under the stars. Long Beach Crawfish Festival

Friday, July 27 - Sunday, July 29 | Rainbow Lagoon Park

Starting this Friday, indulge in fresh crawfish, dancing, live music, and more during the Long Beach Crawfish Festival! This three-day event welcomes all ages, and will even have a children’s area with a magic show, inflatable bounces, and more! If you’re not a fan of crawfish, no problem. There will also be a food court featuring New Orleans-inspired cuisine such as frog legs, catfish, gumbo, etc., as well as Mexican, American, Chinese, Thai and other international foods and desserts—but expect crawfish, lots and lots of crawfish. Love Long Beach Celebration

Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 | Shoreline Aquatic Park

This weekend, the Love Long Beach Celebration will be celebrating its fifth anniversary at Shoreline Aquatic Park. This festival, which is suitable for all ages, will include DJs, music, arts and crafts, food court, vendors, yoga, sound healing and much more! Midsummer Scream

Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 | Long Beach Convention Center

Can’t wait until Oct. 31 for Halloween? Well, you don’t have to! This weekend, Midsummer Scream will be at the Long Beach Convention Center with tons of Halloween-related things to do, a panel and presentations, workshops, and even a “screaming room.” Paranormal Pixie's Pumpkin Patch will have crafts, special appearances, and performances for kids all weekend long, making this an all-ages event. Once the day turns to night, the 18+ Midsummer Scream After Dark Party will occur on Saturday at 8 p.m. There will be a classic Halloween style party, a DJ spinning dark tunes and Halloween favorites, a $500 costume contest, horror trivia and games, a magic show, and a special movie screening. General admission tickets to Midsummer Scream does not include admission to Midsummer Scream After Dark, so an additional ticket is required.
