It’s likely that you have been to the Aquarium of the Pacific at least once during the day; if not once, possibly more than you can count. We like this event because it’s a unique experience for families to visit the aquarium in the evening when the crowds have dissipated and the sharks are in “night mode.” It’s pleasant to indulge in a cup of coffee, hot cocoa, wine or beer and casually enjoy the outside aquarium space with family. Best of all, this event is free!

It’s the biggest pet adoption event of the year for Long Beach’s spcaLA! If you are considering adding a furry friend to your family, this is the event for you and your family to attend together. They have, paws down, the cutest puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats in town, and adopters will enjoy 50 percent off adoption fees and a free gift bag. Whether or not you choose to adopt, you can still enjoy food trucks, photo ops, face painting and fun booths.
Pacific Islander Festival

Discover the rich and diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands through traditional craft demonstrations, educational programs, and live entertainment, including music and dance performances. Watch hula, listen to Tahitian drumming, try out ancient Hawaiian games, and admire artisans as they create traditional weavings. The fourteenth annual Pacific Islander Festival will feature various cultures, including Hawaiian, Marshallese, Tahitian, Samoan, Tongan, Fijian, Kiribati, and Maori.
