CSULB Chinese New Year Celebration

It’s the year of the dog and the students of the Confucius Institute at CSULB have prepared a community celebration. The ceremony for the 2018 Chinese New Year Celebration will include a keynote speaker who will enlighten you on Chinese culture while you enjoy traditional Chinese food. Enjoy live performances including traditional Chinese musical instruments, Peking Opera, folk dancing and Face-Changing in Sichuan Opera. This is a FREE event.

Aquarium of the Pacific Shark Lagoon Night

Get up close with the ocean’s ultimate predators at the Aquarium of the Pacific for Shark Lagoon Night! The public is invited to touch bamboo sharks and see other sharks such as rays and sand tiger sharks. During this FREE event, hot cocoa, beer, wine, desserts and snacks will be available for purchase. Since the shark experience is outdoors, the event is weather-dependent and can be cancelled due to inclement weather.

48th CSU Puvungna POW WOW

Cal State Long Beach

The largest Southern California event of its kind in spring, the POW WOW at Cal State Long Beach is focused on displaying the University’s strong American-Indian presence. The two-day event features inter-tribal dancing, Gourd dancing, arts, crafts and authentic food such as Navajo tacos. American-Indian vendors will be selling their best traditional and contemporary crafts and art. Admission and parking is FREE.

St. Patty Family Day

Sunday, Mar. 11 | 11am-5pm

4000 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, California 90804 | The Red Leprechaun

Spend a fun-filled afternoon enjoying The Red Leprechaun’s version of St. Patrick’s Day! Kids will enjoy an Irish kid’s dance performance, face painting, Irish chicken toss contest, and Leprechaun costume contest. Parents will enjoy St. Patty Cider as well as green beer and mimosas. This is an afternoon for the whole family to enjoy!
